“Time, Prescribed”

Composed of melted prescription bottles and fractured watch parts, this piece holds the physical evidence of what trauma can cost—measured in years, in delays, in time miscounted and redirected.

For many whose early injuries were misunderstood or unnamed, entire seasons of life can be spent navigating misdiagnosis, experimentation, and over-medication before their story is truly heard. The materials in this work are not symbolic abstractions; they are remnants of lived duration.

Through heat and reconstruction, instruments that once regulated the body and marked its passing are transformed into something intentional and enduring—an act of reclamation that refuses to let that time disappear.
